Choosing Chris as our DJ/MC was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Chris knew our wedding venue inside and out. For every question he asked, he also offered suggestions for us to consider, which was very helpful since we didn't know what songs we wanted for many of the events. We had some complicated programming--traditional tea ceremony, lion dance, songs from Youtube--and Chris executed every detail perfectly. Dear Soon-to-Be-Happy-Newlyweds:
I am writing this letter to give my highest recommendation to Chris Andrews to meet your wedding entertainment needs. My wife Maureen and I were married this past July, and we could not imagine having a better time at the reception, due in no small part to Chris’s work as our DJ.
We were extremely fortunate during the planning stages of our wedding to work with a number of vendors who were genial and kind and extremely amenable to our needs, and Chris was no exception. He was keen to speak with us over the phone, via email, and in an initial planning meeting in person to get every detail just so. He managed to find some fairly obscure songs for key moments of the reception, agreed not to play the specific wedding stand-by dance songs of which we weren’t particularly fond, and even managed to meet our rather unusual request of slowing down the song for the father-daughter dance by a specific beat count (he downloaded some software specially for this purpose—seriously!). During the reception itself, he had (quite literally) a bag of tricks available to enhance the party atmosphere, giving one of my groomsmen a Guitar Hero prop when he noticed him playing air-guitar exuberantly during Journey’s "Don’t Stop Believin’," and pulling out a number of hats to put on the wedding party during a surprise (to us) staging of "YMCA" that our guests couldn’t stop talking about for weeks afterward! (These moments made for some of our very favorite photos, too!)
It’s impossible to imagine another DJ offering similar services for a better rate. He worked for us for an extremely reasonable flat fee. We did a ton of research on every aspect of the wedding, and we can assure you that no rates are better. Moreover, he was completely unfazed when we informed him (as he announced the "Last Dance" to our guests at the agreed-upon ending point of the reception) that we had decided to extend the party by an extra hour. Overall, a great DJ and a great guy, and we couldn’t have been happier with anyone else!
